That’s why we are proud to support Variety Ontario, a charitable organization dedicated to helping children and youth with disabilities access sports, activities, and programs designed to include everyone.
Supporting Accessible Sports and Programs
Variety Ontario is on a mission to remove barriers and ensure that every child has the opportunity to participate, learn, and thrive. From recreational and competitive sports to camps and skills training, their programs are designed to empower participants, build confidence, and foster a sense of belonging.
One of their flagship initiatives, VOLT Hockey, provides children and youth with disabilities the chance to play hockey in an accessible and inclusive setting. Through this program, participants can enjoy the benefits of sport, teamwork, and physical activity, all while building self-esteem and life skills.
eSAFE’s Role in Safety and Compliance
At a recent VOLT Hockey tournament, eSAFE had the privilege of contributing by providing a complimentary electrical safety inspection of the athletes’ electric wheelchairs. Our inspector, Mike Schmidt, volunteered his time to ensure that the equipment was safe, compliant, and ready for action.
We were honoured to have the opportunity to help these amazing athletes focus on what matters most: competing, connecting, and enjoying their time on the ice. Safety is a foundation for inclusion, and accessible programs deserve the same professional care and attention that we provide to our clients’ electrical equipment.
